Today I had to call the help line because I was confused as to why things were not working. I reached TOD who proved to be very helpful, knowledgeable and patient with me. This is the new version of the standard office package. It installed easily enough, it runs fine on my laptop, haven’t had any problems with it yet. I just wanted to have it at home so I could work on some unofficial work projects to get myself a little ahead there. We use Excel for a ton of things there, many of which would be better done with Access, hence my getting the professional edition, not home and office.I ordered this through Amazon because of the “instant” digital delivery option. But, it took 12 hours before Amazon processed the purchase, and then Microsoft had an internal server error on their side, so it was a full 60 hours before my “instant” purchase could be installed. Had I known that, I would have at least gone down to the local Best Buy or something and at least supported some of my neighbors who work there.

@ ActionC, Outlook most likely doesn’t work because it’s configured incorrectly, if there was an issue with installation you can reinstall or do a repair install, you can only have 1 instance of Outlook, everything else word, pp, Excel etc., You can have multiple years on your computer, Outlook 2019 is awesome so if you’re making your decision based on action seas review don’t just my two cents 30+ years experience

I use the product as the basis for my desktop. It plus two CAD programs is basically all the SW that is put on my computer. I am finding that MS, like it has done for every Windows update, seems to have changed things for the sake of change. Further, nothing is well explained. For example, I went to PowerPoint to make a simple chart. Not something that I was going to pitch, just a flowchart on a new app for Access. But that does not seem possible with PP-10 as it no longer has a place to select chart symbols on the top strip. I eventually found where they had hid the selection pane but I can’t remember what I did and will have to search the next time I need it. Same thing with e-mail documents. They come in, I use Outlook to open them up. First they have a new invention, a 3 part reading pane with pane 1 having their list of files, pane 2 being the mail list and pane 3 being the left side of the mail. Finally I’ve found I can click or double click or maybe its triple click on the mails title in pane 2 and I get a new window wit the mail item fully expanded. But after I’m done reading there is no button to click to go back to the list if mails. Generally Windows 10 is simply harder to use but I’m quite sure that once I learn this kludge it will work fine until a year later when MS decides to stir the pot again.

I am required to install licenses of MS Office for new employees. It seems every time I attempt this, it becomes an extreme adventure (not in a good way)I am always told I need to create a new MS account in order to activate the software.Impossibly frustrating!!!!!!

I have purchased many Microsoft products over the years, Operating Systems, different years and versions of Office and have always been satisfied with their performance. However, the latest Microsoft Office 2019 has been a terrible disappointment. MS Outlook in MS Office 2019 doesn’t work.Don’t buy MS Office 2019, if you want to use Outlook.

I want to be balanced. If you have never written custom Macro and Visual Basic modules, this will be fine. I have written many small utility programs in the form of Access files that utilize Forms to run Macros and Visual Basic Modules. These were written over many years between Office 2007 and Office 2016. I have two computers. the one loaded with Windows 10 and Office 2016 runs all of my utility programs perfectly. the new computer loaded with Windows 10 and Office 2019 will NOT RUN ANY OF THEM. I have followed all of the available online advice to create trusted locations, trusted files, and even the trust all Macros. None of that results in Access 2019 being able to run my Access files that still run perfectly in Office 2016. Something has changed and Microsoft only offers vague error messages about undefined syntax errors and an inability to compile the Macros and Visual Basic. There is no help that works. Something is broken, and there was no warning that old files are not forward compatible. If Microsoft wants a better review, they can offer me real help and a patch to accept and use 2016 style Macros and Visual Basic. Failing that, at least offer practical and specific guidance regarding whatever has been changed. Tell me in concrete terms what you have changed. If you only want to use this out of the box, it will probably feel very similar to prior versions. If you rely on any customized personalized features, this will probably NOT RUN YOUR EXISTING MACRO AND VISUAL BASIC MODULES.

Placed an order for this hours ago. The order has been sitting there ever since saying “Pending Verification.” Can’t cancel the order because there is no cancel button. Can’t ask what’t going on because there is no “Problem with order” button, or anything like that. There is no way apart from the buttons Amazon provides [doesn’t provide] for asking about the status of the order. There is no description that I can find in Help of what “Pending Verification” means. I would like to cancel and try to buy it elsewhere. I need it relatively quickly for something I’m working on. But I can’t cancel, so if I buy elsewhere anyway this “pending verification” order may eventually go through and I will not be able to return it since it is not returnable. I will have a second copy, which I don’t need, and be out $399 + tax. Be very careful buying software from Amazon. They may end up having you by the throat.

I bought it to replace Windows mail but this program has its own problems, when you open an email, you can’t close it, when I inquired about it, they suggested if it didn’t want to see the email, close the program. Now with every other email program I’ve ever used you could close the email after reading it, with this program they decided you didn’t need to do that. The documents program has printing issues that are to extensive to explain, have yet to hear back on their solution. but another document program I have prints correctly.

I’ve read countless reviews on this product and hear horror stories from some customers. I upgraded my Windows 10 computer from Office 2013 to Office 2019 Pro only because MS support will end on the 2013 Suite soon. (I also refuse to pay for Office 365.) By upgrading to Office 2019, I should have MS support until October 2025. If only the product worked that is. The issue(s) I uncovered was acknowledged to be a bug by Microsoft. In any of the suite products (Word, PowerPoint or Excel) you cannot cut and paste images or photos. You also cannot insert a photo into any of these products. All you will get is a border box and a lot of gibberish – YOUR PICTURE WILL NOT RENDER. If that isn’t bad enough, no pictures or images will render in any old documents, spreadsheets or PowerPoints created in older versions of MS Office. This is a huge problem for me; may not be a big deal for you.I spent hours on the phone with different Microsoft Technicians, who were clueless in their support positions. On three occasions they logged into my computer and could only verify that this problem (bug) truly existed. As of today, I have 4 case numbers. Each time, they promised help and call backs within 24 hours, but of course, this is Microsoft who doesn’t care about their customer base unless it is a Fortune 500 company. It is also very evident that they only want to push and support Office 365.I now have to uninstall Office 2019 Pro and re-install Office 2013 and hope that something changes.BTW – I have worked in the software industry for 25+ years, so I know a thing or two about MS Office products.

I have to say that before I bought this product, I read a few reviews and had some concerns. I’m happy to say I haven’t experienced any of the installation issues or functionality problems mentioned (so far). My only complaint so far is that some of the functionality of MS office is definitely lacking (i.e. message recall appears to not be included). Otherwise, the product functions without an issue so far.

Need to delete all the Microsoft 360 office trial version before installing software otherwise will end up with two versions on the computer and Microsoft wants to charge up per month. Took awhile to get that issue resolve. Now it works as it should.
