Meh. I have ollama and LM Studio on my machines. If I use the perplexity AI, it’s not much faster than what I can do at home. BUT, the models are fresher. From the browser it’s fast enough. I suppose it’s fine for regular use. If I want to program something specific with the API, it’s obviously cheaper if I use the models on my PC. Unless I need “fresh” data, then I will use this. Recommended for regular use and dropping google as a search engine. Or probably any search engine. No ads.
